CURBSIDE YARD DEBRIS – PICKUP SCHEDULE
Pickup will be every Tuesday, beginning May 6th. Limit of 5 bags per household per week. Debris must be in a paper yard waste bag.
WATER METER READINGS
Please submit water meter readings by April 28th at 4:00. The Town Foreman will go door to door to collect water meter readings on Tuesday, April 29th for properties that have not yet submitted their readings.
WATER RESTRICTION POLICY
The new water restriction policy is in effect from April 1- September 30th. If you haven’t received it by email, get in touch with the office for a copy. Level 1 water restrictions are currently in effect.
NEXT COUNCIL MEETING
The next Council meetings has been changed from Wednesday May 14th to Wednesday May 7th, 2025, 6:30 p.m.
LANDFILL HOURS & COSTS
Effective until September 30th, the Landfill is open every Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 1:00 p.m to 5:00 p.m.
Recent concerns have been raised regarding the costs to dispose of garbage at the landfill.
Costs will be reduced if your garbage is broken down before hauling to the landfill (disassemble a book shelf, break down furniture).
At the April Council meeting, cost relating to the waste bin at the landfill were reviewed: Revenue collected from disposing garbage into the large bin at the Landfill = $592
Cost to have the bin hauled away and disposed of = $1,342.10
Please use your residential curb side bins when possible.
DOGS AT LARGE
A friendly reminder to residents that dogs running at large is prohibited. There have been several complaints regarding this. Please be mindful of your neighbours.
YARDS
Complaints regarding unsightly yards have been brought forward and discussed. Council is asking that residents keep garbage and clutter confined in proper containment and keep un-plated or junked vehicles off the street.
