Council Meetings:
Are always the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 6:30p.m. Public notice will only be given if the time and date of the regular scheduled meeting has been changed.
Sewer Line Maintenance:
Dispose of “flushable” wipes in the garbage – these wipes are designed with fibres that take a long time to break down in water, causing sewer backups and damaging infrastructure along the way
Fats, Oils and Grease (FOG) do not belong in the sewer – Pour liquid FOG including gravies, sauces and leftover grease into an empty jar or can
Cat & Dog Licenses:
Are now due! $15 per dog/cat if it is spayed or neutered, $30 if it is not spayed or neutered.
The Black Stray Dog:
At the January 16th Council meeting, several complaints were brought forward regarding the black stray dog that has been around town.
It is recommended that we do not feed wild or stray animals in town limits. We understand this has good intentions; however, it brings potential safety concerns. Please reference Bylaw 2017-157 regarding Dogs Running at Large.
Council is looking at all options to remedy the situation, which includes being in contact with our Conservation Officer & seeking out possible dog catchers.
Snow Removal:
Just a reminder to please shovel and blow your snow onto your property rather than the street whenever possible.
Thank you!
